Hey Everyone! It’s been WAAAAAAY too long since I have hosted a Blog Party!
For those of you who are not aware what a blog party is let me break it down. Generally speaking, a blog party is an online gathering for bloggers of all kinds to meet and engage with one another. On Twitter, something similar is referred to as a #writerslift but it’s meant to be a bit more social than that
Here are some simple steps you can take:
Like. Comment. Engage. Reblog
- LIKE: You do not need to be following my blog to participate, but I always appreciate a like if you’re enjoying the Blog Party!
- COMMENT: Tell us your name, leave us a blurb about your blog, and THEN attach your link!
- Please do not just drop a link (my blog is set up where it will see it as spam)
- ENGAGE: Blog Parties are not about simply promoting your blog/work. Engagement is where the party begins. Please visit AT LEAST two other blogs and leave them genuine feedback on their comments below.
- REBLOG: Spread the fun by encouraging your own followers to join in the party! The best way to meet and interact new bloggers is by spreading the word so that we can meet people outside our normal “sphere of bloggers.”
Blog Party Manners:
- You never have to follow anyone just because they follow you. However, it is good manners to always return a page visit for a page visit.
- Did someone stop by your blog, like a post, or leave a comment? Do the same for them! (It only takes a minute.)
- Please do not comment “I just followed your blog, please follow back!” or anything similar. You will be booted from the party.
- Follow the blogs you are honestly interested in; don’t play the “follow game.”
Hi Kayla! So nice of you to be hosting this blog party!
I think it’s the sunshine we needed during this global crisis!
I’m Shruti Ohri. I mostly write poetry, although I’ve been a little offtrack lately due to personal reasons- I’m trying to find my way back here. It’s always amazing to interact with all the talented bloggers out here and read the different blogs! Looking forward to catching up!

Hello Shruti. My name is Darnell. I just read your post writing with the Terzanelle style. I think it’s good. It’s amazing the things we learn in the writing community. Keep up the good work and may all your problems fade away. Take care.

Hi Kayla! Its been a while since I’ve been to a party. So glad you took the time to have one! For those that don’t know me, my name is Darnell Cureton. I’m a blogger and writing coach. My blog features writing encouragement in a post I call “diary of a bad writer.” It’s a play on words that I use to get readers to stop by. I provide writing tips and talk about personal experiences with writing in a three to five line format. Also, drop by if you like to read my latest flash fiction:

Hey Darnell! It’s been too long!
We might not be able to go to any physical parties, but no one is stopping us from partying together online!
Darnell’s “Diary of a Bad Writer” is always a fascinating and enlightening read for other writers; make sure to check it out!

I saw how many comments there were on this post and it freaked me out. As an introvert, walking into a full-blown party can be intimidating. But I saw some familiar faces and mingled with some of the newbies, too. I can breathe again. Thank you for hosting the party. Personally, I prefer them to be spread out (vs. once a month), but whatever works for you!
My name is Sam, but my friends call me Goldie. I write short stories, which I publish on Thursdays. Additionally, I write controversial pieces on Mondays. There’s a bunch of different content thrown into the mix, too, depending on what tickles my fancy.

Hey Goldie! So glad you were able to still join today and the comments weren’t overwhelming. I’m trying to go through them now and I’m just so blown away by the positivity and community I’m seeing. I love it!
Anyhow, I’m heading over to your blog now to see what I’ve been missing out lately!

Hello,
My name is Dave Madden, and my blog is MMA Storytime.
I used to host another blog/site where I’d publish articles about MMA. After awhile, keeping up with the news cycle grew tiresome; moreover, I realized how many of the stories and other situations that occurred in real life, would sound like fiction to someone on the outside. I, therefore, created my MMA Storytime blog to tell MMA centric stories, some based on actual events or people. More often than not, I use the various blog challenges I find online to prompt various stories.
Thanks for checking it out!
