The Five Stages: Bargaining

It’s the “what if’s”

And “If only’s”

That causes our sleepless nights

What if the doctors had listened

Had given weight to his claims of pain

If only we had known sooner

Had realized how time would fly so quickly

Yes, it’s the “what if’s”

And “if only’s”

That flicker through our minds

  1. If’s only cause a lot of problems in themselves and make problems worse. I always figure it’s best to forget the if’s only or what if’s. Don’t worry about what could have been, concentrate on what is now, far better! Thanks for sharing that.

  2. I look back at the “what ifs” in my life and think how I could have changed it. But the situations were such I had no control. Once I realized that I felt more at peace with myself. What mattered was I there when I was needed.
