Hello Everyone, I am back with EVEN MORE poems from the poetry contest! I just can’t help myself! This is my LAST Blog post concerning the poetry contest (although I am already considering holding another in a few months)
If you’ve followed me for awhile now, you’ve probably noticed I am huge on community! So I’m sharing these poems for several reasons: one reason is for my followers to get to know and follow one another!
While these next poems did not win, they were within my top favorites! (Please note, this is not an order of the next winners [i.e. 3rd, 4th, 5th places] many of these submissions were tied in points)
***If I do not share your poems, please do not feel bad, it does not mean I did not enjoy them! There were many excellent poems, but I had to narrow it down. Thank you for participating!
Shruti Ohri’s “Thoughts and Thunder”

Beneath her scars, hid several fights,
Curious as George and a wild traveller,
Daring spirits blazed within her,
Embraced the challenges without any doubts . . .” (Read More Here!)
Lane Burke’s “Bestseller”
“Something to touch:
The shell of a woman.
Brand new; shiny.
Who knows what waits beneath . . . ” (Read More Here!)
Sarah Al-Haddad’s “In the Ocean’s Company”
“The ocean converses with my soul,
Its waves constantly break at the shore,
With such delicacy that it calms my very core.
The composure of the waves . . . ” (Real More Here!)
Walt’s “Heaven Will Wait”
“As I walk through my life
I see goodness and light
Caring and sharing
Drums played at night
As I walk through the mists . . . ” (Read More Here!)

With poisonous sips . . . ” (Read More Here!)
Robert William’s “Museum Exhibit Four Hundred and Thirty-Nine”

Buried ‘neath the sodden peat,
Full three times I died, at the hands
of former dwellers in this land,
messenger to the gods my fate . . . ” (Read More Here!)
From the Heart’s “Loss”
“I saw the sky darken over
When Rachael died the other day
An angel so sweet couldn’t leave this earth
Without taking sunshine her way . . . ” (Read More Here!)
