Blogmas Poem: Colors Reflected on Wet Pavement

The

wet pavement

reflects my heart, Perhaps a

bit worn, perhaps a bit damp, Footprints

and memories left behind by strangers and friends alike,

Who little understand the effect their presence leaves, But ultimately

My heart celebrates the coming of bright, twinkling lights

And warm Eskimo kisses

Shared between lovers

And family alike.

One of my favorite parts about the Christmas season are all the different colors and pretty lights! There is just something so joyful and encouraging about seeing bright multi-colored light reflected off of rain soaked pavement. It can cheer any melancholy heart. Don’t you think?
