Making Home

Freshly painted walls,

The smell still lingers,

Recently pierced to hang

The memories of our lives.

Our first home

Slowly, but surely,

We are transforming a space

And turning it into the place

Where you come home and

I get to greet you with a kiss

Where we stand side-by-side

To create dinner and wash dishes

Where we spend long nights

Watching movies and holding

Each other close.

Just happy to be

in a place that we call

home.

Happy Writing Everyone

***Please be aware that I am currently reposting past blog posts as I am gone on my Honeymoon (woohoo!) and will be unable to read, approve, like, or respond to any comments until I return in late June! I look forward to seeing you all again soon!***
