Looking forward
His hand in mine
And I’m soaring
But I feel that slight
Tug at my heel
As I look back at the past
I look back at the relationships
That ultimately must change
And I feel my wings flutter and fold
Struggling to stay
airborne.

Beautiful expression of feelings! Change can be difficult and that separation anxiety is definitely a real deal. But the metamorphosis you go through will bring about beautiful growth…

Thank you Heather! I’ve definitely experienced both the positives and negatives of change but I’m trying to embrace and focus on the positives!

Great poem! Change always comes and it’s not always easy, sometimes it’s hard to let go of the past. But the present is still here and that change can make for a bright future at times.

Exactly Steve! Change might not be easy, but usually, if we allow it, it can be for the best!

Hi, KaylaAnn! How are you? It’s been awhile. You’ve written a wonderfully expressed poem about separation that I can’t help but sigh along with. Time sure is changing.

Hi MissM! As you can tell by my ridiculously late reply (I’m sorry!), I’ve been very busy. It’s the end of the semester at my college course, moving into the last month at my high school job, and getting closer to my wedding. All in all, I’m pulled in a couple thousand different directions every day, but I’m hanging in there. How are you?

I’m doing ok. Taking it one day at a time. Wow, yeah, that’s quite a hectic schedule you have there. Good luck to you though! 😀
