New Year, Same You!

While 2019 is definitely a chance for all of us to make some improvements and to strive towards those (realistic) goals, ultimately, we are the same inside. And there is NOTHING wrong with you being you! So share all about yourself in the first Blog Party of 2019!

For those of you who are not aware what a blog party is let me break it down. Generally speaking, a blog party is an online gathering for bloggers of all kinds to meet and engage with one another.

Here are some simple rules:

  1. First off, everyone is welcome to participate in this Blog Party (even if you do not currently follow me, although I would LOVE it if you did!) -> If you are a new follower of my blog, say hi and let me know so that I remember to drop by your blog and check you out.
  2. Leave a Comment! Say hi and tell us who you are and what your blog is about. Feel free to leave a link connecting back to your blog’s home page or to your favorite or most recent blog post! (Post this only once please.)
  3. Mix and Mingle! This is where the party begins. I am blessed to have nearly 2,000 followers and this is a great opportunity for many of my friends to meet each other. You guys are amazing and I think a lot of you would enjoy meeting and following one another.
  1. Remember, you never have to follow anyone just because they follow you. However, it is good manners to always return a page visit for a page visit. Did someone stop by your blog, like or leave a comment? Do the same for them! It only takes a minute.
  2. Don’t forget to REBLOG! Spread the fun by encouraging your own followers to join in the party! This is the best way to attract new bloggers by spreading the word.

  1. I have instigated blog parties ‘in the flesh’, but – as our digital world is growing larger and larger by the weeks and months, such parties have been ever more difficult to arrange.
And since we all feel at home behind our computers, why not do this like Kayla-Ann suggests?
    So who am I- really?
A very grown-up man reaching the age of 82 in a week or so. Long before the digital age I was commenting on news articles from our local papers and – if it made sense – the newspapers would print it! I think my first published letter was written some time in 1956?!
When the ‘digital time’ arrived in the very late 80thies, I became a blogger and have been blogging ever since on a number of different platforms.
Today I’m through debating and bickering 🙂 and spend my time trevelling around Norway shooting pictures from our nature, tourist spots, cities and municipalities or plain flowers, wildlife, macro shots and whatever catch my attention.
Many of these pictures find their way to my recent blog: ‘SeeNorway’ and most of them in a so-called ‘full screen’ mode that will fill your entire screen.
The draw-back with my photography, however, is that it’s pretty time consuming, thus there is little time left for browsing the net. But when the weather works against me – I do!
And since I have been on WP for a while (since 2012) I’m pretty sure some of you already might have visited me, For those that have not, the ‘door’ is open! But – there is nothing but pictures from Norway! So if you have no interest in nature, wildlife, travels, nor photography, you’ll probably do best by going elsewhere? 🙂

    1. Blog parties, I believe, are the best of both worlds for extroverts, introverts, and everybody in between. They allow us to be outgoing from the safety of our own seclusion. It’s somewhat contradictory in our need for both isolation and socialization.
I love your progression from “debating and bickering” to spending time traveling and appreciating life. I think we all could do with a little less of the first and a little more with the second.
I’m heading to your blog now! Ready to immerse myself in the beauty of Norway (my ancestors actually originated from there!)

  2. I don’t know how to reblog – but for now, I will introduce myself and my blog. I have been in various blogging platforms before, for over a decade. Lit & heels is a now title with a small yet returning audience. I usually write about writing, work life in the creative industries and any thoughts I might have about pop culture with a feminist twist. Welcome to mine!

  3. Hi everyone, I’m still learning in the area of blogging! I write about different things, country, wildlife, hiking, outdoors, life with myself and my cat Muffin and the odd things that happen to us. My blog is just meant to give people a smile (or maybe a chuckle or two). Please check me out
