In the time that it takes
For your lips to form
A smile
Time has flown
No, time has raced
Past us.
Before we can even
Share a moment in time
Time
Speeds past the moment
Time,
The ever-elusive entity
That we strive to capture in our
Hands as
Hands on the clock
Spin in a dizzying dance
As time
Flies
Right out of our hands.

On one hand, definitely! I can’t wait to get married but on the other hand, I feel like I’m missing out on some things because I need to be in multiple places at once.

It does gives a feeling of anxiousness to some people.

Much truth in this – sometimes it is the bad times that slow down, letting the good moments fly

You’re not wrong Ethan. We definitely need to hold on to the good because that is what flies.

I loved this poem — it gave me chills! Time is always such a strange concept for me to think about, but I think you captured it well here. 🙂
