Stuffed Stacks (A Poem)

Happy World Poetry Day!

I always see these beautiful pictures of perfectly shelved books in libraries and personal bookshelves, but that’s not how my bookshelves look đź“š

My books hardly fit

They teeter and totter

They’re shoved and stuffed

And shoved a bit harder

But I love my books even

When they’re stacked on the floor

I’ll love my books even

When I can no longer open the door

My books hardly fit

I should probably stop buying

But if I agreed to that

You’d know I was lying
