Stuffed Stacks (A Poem)

Happy World Poetry Day!

I always see these beautiful pictures of perfectly shelved books in libraries and personal bookshelves, but that’s not how my bookshelves look 📚

My books hardly fit

They teeter and totter

They’re shoved and stuffed

And shoved a bit harder

But I love my books even

When they’re stacked on the floor

I’ll love my books even

When I can no longer open the door

My books hardly fit

I should probably stop buying

But if I agreed to that

You’d know I was lying
